Icelandic soprano Arnheiður Eiríksdóttir named rising star at international opera awards in Munich

In a prestigious ceremony held at Bayerische Staatsoper, Icelandic soprano Arnheiður Eiríksdóttir has been named a rising star at the international opera awards. She shares this honor with American singer Justin Austin, both achieving equal first place from a pool of ten nominees.

Arnheiður, who is currently a resident artist at the National Theatre in Prague, expressed her excitement about the nomination, calling it “a crazy honor.” Her recognition comes on the heels of winning the Czech Theatre Award for Operatic Performer of the Year last year.
