Gunfire reported at Israel’s embassy in Stockholm, explosions follow in Copenhagen

Wednesday 2nd 2024 on 16:14 in
Sweden

On Tuesday evening, gunfire occurred at Israel’s embassy on Strandvägen in Stockholm. The incident is being investigated as a serious weapons offense, endangerment to others, grave illegal threats, and vandalism. Shortly afterward, explosions were reported near Israel’s embassy in Copenhagen, believed to be caused by two hand grenades. Three young Swedish citizens have been arrested on suspicion of involvement in the Copenhagen explosions.

Reports indicate that the attacks were carried out on behalf of the Foxtrot network, a hypothesis that police are also considering based on the methods used. Rawa Majid, the leader of the Foxtrot network, has previously been accused by Israeli intelligence of orchestrating violent acts against Israel’s embassy in Stockholm. This time, it is claimed that the Foxtrot network is acting on orders from Iran, according to reports.

The incidents highlight the escalating tensions surrounding Israeli diplomatic missions in Scandinavia, raising concerns about security and international relations in the region.
