Fámjins, Hovs, and Tvøroyrar municipalities have extended their agreement regarding childcare services in Tvøroyri, allowing children from Fámjin and Hovi to continue attending the Mýrifípa daycare center in Tvøroyri.

Previously, Tvøroyrar municipality had announced over the summer that such an agreement would not be feasible due to a shortage of available spaces. However, according to Kristina Michelsen, the mayor of Tvøroyrar, recent adjustments have been made that enable the extension of this agreement.

Jóanis Lisberg, the mayor of Fámjins municipality, expressed relief that children from Fámjin will have secure childcare placements in Tvøroyri.

The plan is to expand the Mýrifípa daycare center, as stated by the mayor of Tvøroyri. The new construction will be designed to blend harmoniously with the surrounding landscape, and Brim Architects, who originally designed the existing facility, have been requested to oversee this new development.
