Poverty risk remains steady at 7.6% in Faroe Islands for 2022

In 2022, 7.6% of the population in the Faroe Islands was at risk of poverty. This figure remains nearly unchanged from 2021, 2020, and 2019.
The risk of poverty decreased from 9.8% in 2018 to 7.6% in 2019.
Between 2012 and 2018, the poverty risk was slightly higher, ranging between 9% to 10%, according to data from the Statistics Faroe Islands.
The poverty measure indicates the proportion of individuals whose equivalized income is less than 60% of the median equivalized income in society.
