Oulu District Court hears case of stabbing at Valkea shopping center

Today, the Oulu District Court is hearing a case related to a stabbing incident that occurred in June at the Valkea shopping center. According to police, a man with far-right affiliations stabbed a 12-year-old child and attempted to stab a 14-year-old. Both victims have foreign backgrounds, and the attack is suspected to have been racially motivated.

The man, aged 33, faces charges of two counts of attempted murder and one count of making illegal threats. He was ordered to undergo a psychological evaluation in July, which is still ongoing. The suspect has previously been involved with the now-banned neo-Nazi organization, the Nordic Resistance Movement (PVL), and has a history of violent offenses.
