A recent survey by Finnish Landlords indicates that many cities in Finland are experiencing an easier rental market and finding tenants compared to similar times in previous years. However, there is significant variation among different cities. Over 2,200 property investors responded to the survey.

The intentions of private landlords to purchase rental properties continue to rise, with about 26% of landlords indicating they are likely or certain to acquire a rental property within the next 12 months. The interest in purchasing investment properties is notably higher in medium-sized cities such as Lappeenranta and Vaasa.

Despite the positive outlook, landlords identify rising maintenance costs as the greatest risk they face. The survey conducted in September sheds light on the evolving dynamics of the rental market in Finland, revealing both optimism and challenges for property investors.
