Cockpit windshield cracks during flight carrying Swedish ministers, emergency landing at Arlanda

According to the Government Office, the incident was due to “a technical error.” However, reports reveal that the cockpit windshield cracked at an altitude of 13,000 meters. Onboard were Justice Minister Gunnar Strömmer and Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard. The incident report indicates that “the commander decided to abort the mission, followed the emergency checklist, descended in altitude, and returned to the departure airport, Arlanda, for landing.” As of now, the meeting with the Turkish government in Ankara has yet to take place.
