A man in his sixties has been confirmed dead after a car fell from the fourth floor of a parking garage at Sandvika Storsenter on Monday night. Authorities report that the incident appears to be an unfortunate accident. The vehicle landed directly outside the entrance to the shopping center. Fortunately, no one else was harmed, despite the presence of many people in the area during the incident.

The man was at the shopping center with his family when the tragedy occurred. Eyewitnesses recounted a chaotic scene; many initially thought there had been an explosion due to the loud noise and shaking. One witness, who was working in a nearby store, described it as incredibly dramatic and noted that an evacuation announcement was made over the loudspeakers.

By 10 PM on Monday, police had not yet determined how the accident happened. They believe the man entered the vehicle while it was parked and then drove through a wall, causing the car to fall. Authorities are still investigating if the vehicle was operating at the time of the incident and are interviewing witnesses while reviewing surveillance footage.

In light of the accident, parts of the parking facility have been damaged and are considered unsafe. The area will be cordoned off for ongoing investigations. As a result of the incident, Sandvika Storsenter was closed for the night, though it is expected to resume normal operations on Tuesday.
