Vessel “Dragin” runs aground near Eyð Island in Norway, all schoolchildren safe

The Maritime Rescue Coordination Center (MRCC) received a report moments ago that the vessel “Dragin” has run aground on rocks and is now stranded.

At the time of the incident, the “Dragin” was carrying schoolchildren, all of whom have safely disembarked from the boat. The rescue teams Eyð, Tor, and Arun are currently on the scene.

“It’s completely uneventful,” said Andreas Gaardlykke, the duty officer at MRCC.
