Sting to perform at Pori Jazz festival in Finland on July 19, 2025

English musician Sting will be performing at the Pori Jazz festival next summer. The 17-time Grammy Award winner is set to take the stage in Pori on Saturday, July 19, 2025, as part of his STING 3.0 world tour. Joining him will be guitarist Dominic Miller and drummer Chris Maas. The trio will showcase a mix of Sting’s greatest hits along with some rarely heard gems from his discography.

This won’t be Sting’s first appearance at the Pori Jazz festival; he previously performed at the event in the summer of 2006 before a sold-out crowd. However, the festival has faced significant economic difficulties in recent years. The organization recently engaged in restructuring negotiations due to its challenging financial situation.

This summer, the main concerts at the Pori Jazz festival drew 32,000 attendees, a notable decline from last year’s 61,500. Festival director Jolma conveyed concerns in an interview with Yle following the event, stating that they had hoped for a larger turnout at the main concerts.

Pori Jazz has struggled with consecutive years of financial losses, with reports indicating a deficit of €370,000 last year despite hosting high-profile artists.
