Police investigate homemade incendiary devices discovered in Oulu

On Friday, police in Oulu received reports regarding homemade incendiary devices. The glass bottles were discovered in the Pateniemi and Herukka areas, according to a police statement. The bottles contained flammable liquid and an ignition source.

Just a few days prior, similar homemade bottle bombs, which included cleaning agents, were also found in the same vicinity. Authorities have indicated that these dangerous items appear to have been left in the area by young individuals.

The presence of such devices has raised significant concerns among law enforcement. “Homemade incendiary devices and bottle bombs are extremely dangerous and can inflict severe injuries on those creating them, as well as on individuals moving through the area,” the police statement emphasized.
