Clean up initiative struggles for participation in Tórshavn and Eysturoyn

Tomorrow, the event “Clean Up the Faroe Islands” will kick off.

There is interest in the initiative, but people seem hesitant to register, says Annika Arnsteinsdóttir Nielsen, the coordinator.

So far, no participants have signed up in Eysturoyn and the capital, Tórshavn.

Last year, around 800 people collected 30 tons of litter during the “Clean Up the Faroe Islands” initiative.
