The ongoing war in Ukraine is now impacting the availability of ammunition for sheep farms in the Faroe Islands.

This morning, Búrøkt in Hoyvík announced that they have a limited supply of ammunition in stock and are unable to place additional orders. The organization explained that the conflict is hindering suppliers’ ability to produce more ammunition.

Ólavur Weihe, director of Jógvan Weihe in Havn, confirmed that they are also running low on stock.

Prices for the ammunition vary at different sales points, ranging from 240 kr. to 399 kr. per box.
