A man was apprehended in Helsinki’s Vesala district on Thursday after allegedly shooting at police officers with a crossbow multiple times, according to police reports. Authorities cordoned off the area as they addressed a situation involving a man armed inside an apartment building. The suspect reportedly resisted arrest violently but was ultimately taken into custody.
