Jacob Vestergaard advocates for stricter penalties for drug driving in the Faroe Islands

Jacob Vestergaard, a member of the Løgting (the Parliament of the Faroe Islands), is advocating for stricter penalties for drug driving. “Drug driving has become increasingly prevalent, and it is essential to toughen the law,” he stated.

Vestergaard has presented a proposal to the parliament on this issue, which is set to be reviewed for the first time today. Dennis Holm, a government minister, acknowledged that the administration is already working on a proposal to enhance the legislation. He assured that this proposal will be unveiled later this autumn.
