Search and Rescue Efforts Continue

Efforts are ongoing to find 24-year-old Illes Benedek Incze, who has been missing for over a day in Vík í Mýrdal, Iceland. Illes has been living temporarily in Vík for work purposes. The last known sighting of him was early on Monday morning.

Approximately one hundred volunteers, in collaboration with local search and rescue teams, are engaged in the search effort, which is currently focused around Vík í Mýrdal. The search conditions are challenging due to poor visibility and darkness, leading teams to utilize thermal imaging cameras and drones in their operations.

Authorities have stated that there are no indications of foul play, and search activities are set to continue today. Police are urging anyone with information about Illes’ whereabouts to contact emergency services.
