Prosecutors have decided to file charges against two minors in connection with a violent incident that occurred at Liminganlahti School in Liminka on January 10. One individual faces charges of aggravated assault and five counts of making illegal threats, while the second is charged with one count of making an illegal threat. The indictment application was submitted to the Oulu District Court on September 16.

The case involves an incident where a middle school-aged boy attempted to strike another student with a sharp weapon during the school day. Initially, the investigation considered a possible attempted murder and several illegal threats. The alleged actions outlined in the indictment have largely been denied by the accused.

Additionally, the prosecutor has decided not to file charges in connection with two other investigated illegal threats. In March, police had suspected three minors related to the crime at Liminganlahti School.

The Oulu District Court will address the matter in a session scheduled for October 16. No further information will be released at this stage.
