Shōgun dominates 76th Emmy Awards with record 18 wins including Outstanding Drama Series

The 76th Emmy Awards took place last night, with the series Shōgun, Hacks, and The Bear being the standout winners. Shōgun also made history by winning the most awards in a single Emmy season.

Hosted by father-son duo Dan and Eugene Levy, known for their roles in Schitt’s Creek, the event was held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The Bear led the nominations for comedy series with 23 nods, winning for Outstanding Lead Actor, Outstanding Supporting Actor, Outstanding Supporting Actress, and Outstanding Directing. Hacks secured the award for Outstanding Comedy Series.

Shōgun garnered the highest number of nominations overall, with a total of 25, winning 18 awards, including Outstanding Drama Series and acting awards for both the lead actor and lead actress in a drama series. Shōgun’s achievement marks a new milestone in Emmy history.
