Road Safety Council launches campaign against distracted driving in Denmark
Distracted driving is one of the leading causes of accidents on the roads.
The Road Safety Council is collaborating with Trygd and Betri insurance companies to launch a campaign addressing this issue today.
Using a handheld phone while driving is common among motorists.
Penalties for using a handheld phone have increased significantly.
The new fine is now 1,500 Danish krons, along with a demerit on the driver’s license.
The initiative by the Road Safety Council and the insurance companies will run for three weeks.
