Four drivers were caught speeding in a police operation in Millum Fjarða yesterday. Three of them received points on their driving licenses for speeds of 108, 109, and 110 km/h, while the fourth driver was given a conditional fine for driving at 132 km/h.

Additionally, the police conducted an operation near Stranda School, where one driver was fined because a child under 135 centimeters tall was not secured in an approved car seat.

In a separate incident, a stolen moped was seized in the capital city, Tórshavn. The police confiscated it and took it to a designated location where illegal items are stored until the owner can reclaim it.

Authorities report that complaints about stolen mopeds are common throughout the country.

There were two reports of whale sightings yesterday. The first occurred in Sundalagið, between Kollafjørður and Hósvík, and the second in Kunoyarfjørður.

The duty officer stated that, since these involved smaller groups, likely consisting of pilot whales or porpoises, no action was taken.
