Memorial gathering held for Bryndís Klara Birgisdóttir in Skógarhlíð, Iceland
In Skógarhlíð, staff members of the local rescue center have organized a memorial gathering at 3 PM today in front of the center, in honor of Bryndís Klara Birgisdóttir, who tragically lost her life following a stabbing attack during Culture Night. Many staff members, experienced in responding to violent incidents similar to the one that claimed Bryndís Klara’s life, wish to participate in this commemoration and support a memorial fund established in her name.
All who wish to join the memorial event are welcome. Citizens are encouraged to light peace candles in her memory. A special peace candle is available for purchase in major grocery stores across the country, with proceeds benefiting the Bryndís Klara Memorial Fund. This fund is dedicated to supporting initiatives aimed at protecting children from violence and fostering a community centered on empathy and cooperation.
