Weather forecast predicts northwesterly winds and mild frost in eastern Iceland

Thursday 12th 2024 on 16:23 in
Iceland

A northwesterly wind is expected to develop in eastern Iceland today, while light winds are noted in the western regions. The day will be predominantly dry and bright, although there is a chance of slight showers around Breiðafjörður, Faxaflói, Reykjanes Peninsula, and possibly in the western South.

Temperatures will range from 5 to 12 degrees Celsius, with the mildest conditions in southern Iceland. However, temperatures will drop in the evening, leading to mild frost in many areas overnight.

Looking ahead to tomorrow, the weather is expected to remain relatively calm and sunny across much of the country, as a low-pressure system approaches from the south. By tomorrow evening, stronger winds and rain will begin affecting the southern parts of the country.
