Seven apartments remain vacant in Bústøður’s Fuglafjørður complex as manager pursues marketing strategy

Only seven out of 18 apartments managed by Bústøður in Fuglafjørður are currently rented out.

The manager of Bústøður has indicated that there are no plans to lower the rental prices, unlike recent actions taken in Streymnes, where rental rates were adjusted due to high costs. Instead, the manager, Hjørdis Gaard Lailudóttir, is focusing on attracting more tenants by advertising the available apartments across the country.

Lailudóttir, who is actively managing Bústøður, believes that a broader marketing strategy will help fill the vacant units. The decision to maintain rental prices is based on a belief in their value and the hope that increased visibility will lead to more interest from prospective renters.
