On Tuesday evening, a drone was observed over Arlanda Airport by security personnel, according to initial reports. Police have confirmed that a complaint has been filed, and the incident is being investigated as a violation of aviation law.

The following night, multiple drones were spotted in the area, and on the subsequent evening, at least one more was seen. Both incidents are under investigation for potential violations of the Protection Act and aviation law. No arrests have been made thus far.

Robert Sennerdal, the police spokesperson, emphasized that all observations are unconfirmed. “There are still no confirmations that it is a drone,” he stated.

The police have noted that it can be challenging to identify drones and gauge distances in darkness. Common cases of confusion include aircraft, helicopters, satellites, and stars.

The armed forces have been informed of the incidents, but they have not received any requests for support and are not involved in the investigation, according to Henrik Nyström, the armed forces’ press secretary. “This is a police matter,” he added.
