The Eastern Uusimaa District Court has ordered a psychological evaluation for a middle-aged woman accused of attempting murder in Keimola, Vantaa. The court issued an interim ruling today, concluding that the defendant acted as described in the charges.

The main proceedings in the case will be postponed until the psychological evaluation is completed. The prosecutor is seeking a prison sentence for the woman for the attempted murders of two relatives, a man and a woman, as well as two counts of aggravated fraud.

In its interim decision, the court determined that the woman will remain in custody, as there is no lesser penalty than two years of imprisonment for the attempted murder charges.

The case is connected to a police operation that took place in April in Keimola. According to the prosecutor, the events stemmed from an eviction carried out by the enforcement authority, affecting all three individuals involved. The victims were reportedly completely defenseless, relying on the suspect for daily care and assistance due to health issues.

The violent acts were ultimately unsuccessful, as a representative from the apartment rental company happened to arrive at the scene. The injuries sustained by the relatives were life-threatening, and they would likely have died without immediate medical attention.

The prosecutor stated that the accused had written a suicide note indicating that neither she nor her relatives should be resuscitated. The fraud charges are related to the suspect’s prior actions involving unauthorized financial benefits obtained from the victims’ bank accounts.
