Recent advancements in technology are poised to ease the workload for those employed in the eldercare sector. The management at VEKS, an organization focused on elderly services, recently attended a conference in Germany that concentrated on technological innovations in eldercare.

Jógvan Kruse, the chairperson of VEKS, emphasized the significance of these developments. Notably, various technologies have been created to greatly assist individuals dealing with dementia, as highlighted by Sarita Vesturdal Vesturtún, the therapeutic leader at VEKS.

Both Kruse and Vesturdal participated in a morning broadcast where they discussed the potential positive impacts of these innovations on eldercare. The focus of their conversation revolved around how technology can not only improve the quality of care but also support caregivers in their day-to-day responsibilities.

The insights shared during the broadcast and the conference indicate a promising future for eldercare, where technology integrates seamlessly to enhance the lives of both caregivers and elderly individuals, particularly those with dementia.
