Swedish Paralympians received a grand welcome upon their return to Sweden after competing in Paris. Surrounded by four Jas aircraft, the team flew over Stockholm and landed at Arlanda Airport around 2 PM. Similar receptions have been held for athletes after past Games.

“It was incredibly cool, of course. Before I was injured, my dream was actually to become a pilot, so this felt magical. We have felt support from home all the way,” swimmer Conrad Hildebrand expressed shortly after landing.

The event highlighted not only the athletes’ achievements but also the solidarity from their supporters back home. The display of military aircraft served as a symbol of national pride and recognition of the athletes’ hard work and dedication.

As the team disembarked, the excitement and warmth from family, friends, and fans were palpable, celebrating both individual and team success at the Paralympics. The reception was an affirmation of the outstanding performances and resilience displayed by the athletes throughout the competition.
