Polish Culture Minister Hanna Wróblewska first visited Iceland 20 years ago, a period when the Polish community in the country was virtually nonexistent. Over the years, she has observed the evolving Icelandic art scene.

During a recent visit, Wróblewska engaged with various cultural institutions, including the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the University of Iceland, where she attended an exhibition about Vigdís Finnbogadóttir, the first female president of Iceland. She also visited prominent art venues such as Hafnarborg, Hafnarhús, and the National Museum of Iceland.

In addition to her institutional visits, Wróblewska met with the CEO of Harpa Concert Hall and held discussions with both Polish and Icelandic artists. Her agenda included attending a performance of a Polish play at the National Theatre, highlighting the cultural exchange between Poland and Iceland.

The current connection between Polish artists and the Icelandic cultural landscape reflects a growing collaboration and mutual interest. Over the past two decades, Wróblewska has witnessed substantial changes and developments in the art community, fostering an ongoing dialogue between the two nations.
