Durhuus questions Holm over environmental approval for storage facility in Hósvík

Kim Durhuus, a member of the parliament, is seeking clarity from Dennis Holm, the Minister of Environment, regarding the environmental approval of a storage facility. He wants to know if it meets all necessary legal requirements.

The concern arises particularly when vessels arrive carrying various substances for asphalt production, causing traffic that moves throughout the village and near the dock area, where around fifty people are employed daily.

“The traffic is just a few meters away, and the village of Hósvík is only a few hundred meters from the storage site,” Durhuus noted. He has submitted a formal inquiry under section 52a that must be answered by Friday, September 13.

Listeners can also access a conversation with Kim Durhuus for more insights on the situation.
