A new green space has been established in Trongisvágur, providing a peaceful retreat for visitors to enjoy nature. Johan Mortensen, chairman of the Forest Preservation Committee, stated that the area is intended for relaxation, allowing people to connect with nature, listen to the rustling leaves and birdsong.

Many attendees expressed their satisfaction with the new planting area, which has become a favored spot for both children and adults. “You always meet people here,” remarked one visitor, while another added, “It is calm and pleasant.”

The newly planted area in Trongisvágur was established in 2024, marking one of several initiatives in the early part of this century aimed at fostering tree growth in the Faroe Islands.
