Traffic accident in Skála leads to hospital examinations for two individuals
This morning, a minor traffic accident occurred in Skála when a car carrying two individuals veered off the road. Both occupants were taken to the National Hospital for examination.
Authorities believe the incident was a result of carelessness and have no suspicion of any criminal behavior, so no further action will be taken.
On the previous evening, police conducted a traffic operation between Kambsdal and Gøtu, where three drivers were caught for speeding. One driver received a ticket for going 74 km/h near Gøtugjógv, another, a 20-year-old, was issued a driving ban for speeding at 86 km/h in Gøtu, and a third driver faced a conditional revocation of their driving license for driving at 117 km/h in Kambsdal.
Shortly before midnight last night, a driver in Suðuroy was stopped for driving under the influence of drugs, and a blood test was taken.
