Residents urged to conserve electricity in Grundarfjörður after blackout

Residents of Grundarfjörður and nearby areas are being urged to conserve electricity after a blackout occurred last night. According to Landsnet, power has since been restored through RARIK’s distribution system. However, a backup generator is being transported to the region to support the electrical grid. RARIK is advising users to use electricity sparingly during this time.
