Nordic conference on swimming education to take place in Gundadalur, Faroe Islands

From October 18 to 20, the Swimming Association will host a Nordic conference focused on swimming education.

Taking place at the Nordic House and the swimming pool in Gundadalur, this biennial event rotates among the Nordic countries and is aimed at swimming coaches and instructors from the Faroe Islands and abroad who wish to update their methods for teaching swimming.

The last time the conference occurred in the Faroe Islands was in 2012, attracting around 170 participants for three engaging days in the same venues as this year’s event.

However, the Swimming Association expresses uncertainty about attendance for this iteration, particularly following the cancellations of the conferences in both 2020 and 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
