Consumer Union to investigate flight delays due to crowding at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport

Saturday 7th 2024 on 12:25 in
Finland

The Consumer Union plans to investigate how responsibilities are distributed among different parties when passengers miss their flights due to crowding at security checks, as occurred recently at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. Juha Beurling-Pomoell, the Secretary General of the Consumer Union, expressed that the situation is unclear and challenging for consumers. It remains uncertain what responsibilities lie with airlines, the airport company Finavia, and insurance companies in such scenarios. Beurling-Pomoell believes that the Consumer Union will obtain answers to these pressing questions by next week.
