Repairs prompt Erla Kongsdóttir to operate route between Gomlurætt and Hvalba

Due to ongoing repairs needed on the Smyril ferry, Strandferðslan has announced that the Erla Kongsdóttir will be operating on the route between Gomlurætt and Hvalba.

The ferry will depart from Gomlurætt to Hvalba at 15:30 and return at 17:15. Erla Kongsdóttir has the capacity to carry 96 passengers, but vehicles will not be allowed on this service.

Buses in Suðuroy will coordinate with the departures of the Erla Kongsdóttir.

Strandferðslan has indicated that if all goes according to plan, the Smyril ferry is scheduled to leave from the capital, Tórshavn, to Suðuroy at 18:30 and from Krambatanga at 21:00.

Reservations for the earlier canceled trips on the Smyril ferry will also be voided, as stated by Strandferðslan.
