The restraining order against Marius Borg Høiby is in effect from today until March next year. Mette Yvonne Larsen, the legal counsel for the woman who is pressing charges, declined to provide further comments via SMS.

Initially, the woman did not seek a restraining order but has since changed her mind. Høiby and the woman were in a romantic relationship. Following an incident at the woman’s apartment in early August, they have maintained contact. The woman has also communicated with Høiby’s mother, Crown Princess Mette-Marit.

Andreas Kruszewski, who has assumed the role of responsible prosecutor, stated he would not comment on the matter. Meanwhile, Petter J. Grødem, representing Høiby’s ex-girlfriend, Juliane Snekkestad, confirmed there is no restraining order against her. “We have not requested one,” he stated.

Grødem also represents Høiby’s former partner, Nora Haukland, who is involved in a separate domestic violence investigation. Høiby has not been charged in relation to these cases.

Høiby was arrested at Jansløkka School in Bærum on August 4, after police received reports of a violent incident at the woman’s residence the previous night. He was detained and remains under investigation. Last week, Høiby was questioned by police for the first time before traveling to Italy.

His stance on the charges remains unclear. However, in a statement to the media shortly after the incident, Høiby expressed remorse for his actions, admitting to physical violence and property damage during an episode fueled by alcohol and cocaine. He also mentioned struggling with mental health issues and substance abuse, and expressed a desire to resume treatment.
