Five employees laid off at GPG Seafood in Bakkafjörður, Iceland

Five employees have been laid off at GPG Seafood in Bakkafjörður, a village defined as a vulnerable settlement with a population of under one hundred.

According to reports, the affected workers are being offered the opportunity to work for three months at GPG before their notice period concludes. After this, they may have the option to transfer to other company locations in Raufarhöfn and Húsavík.
