Content creators face scrutiny over debauchery streaming in social media channels

Content creators are increasingly using substances during live streams, creating entertainment for their audience that often includes outrageous public acts. In some cases, viewers report these incidents to the police, leading to law enforcement involvement that may even appear in the stream itself. This phenomenon occurring on social media is referred to as “debauchery streaming.”

Substance use, problematic encounters with law enforcement, violence, and sexual content attract viewers, sparking discussions across traditional media platforms and online forums.

We are exploring the debauchery streaming phenomenon and are seeking interviewees. If you follow these streams and are willing to speak publicly on the topic, please fill out the form below.
