Icelandair cancels domestic flights from Reykjavik to Akureyri due to aircraft malfunction

Two domestic flights operated by Icelandair from Reykjavik to Akureyri were canceled this morning due to a malfunction in one of the airline’s domestic aircraft. All domestic flights were suspended last night due to adverse weather conditions.

In response to the situation, Icelandair secured a Boeing 757, typically utilized for international routes, to transport passengers between Reykjavik and Akureyri this afternoon.

According to Isavia’s website, all remaining domestic flights for the day are operating as scheduled.
