Just after midnight, police received reports of a stabbing incident on Karl Johans gate near Oslo Cathedral. A man has been taken to the hospital for further treatment and is currently assessed as seriously injured, according to police operation leader Øyvind Hammervold from the Oslo District Police.

As of now, no arrests have been made, and authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. “We have a significant police presence in the area to gather witness statements and map out the sequence of events. Although there have been no arrests yet, we are working intensively with a large team to locate the perpetrators,” Hammervold stated.

Earlier, at approximately 4:45 AM, police were alerted to a stabbing at Grorud Metro Station. The victim is a man in his 30s. “The victim appears to have what seems like minor injuries. There is certainly nothing indicating that the situation is critical,” said Hammervold regarding this incident. The sequence of events remains unclear, but a search is ongoing for the assailant.
