Flights canceled in Iceland due to severe weather conditions

Domestic flights in Iceland have been canceled for the remainder of the day due to severe weather conditions. The affected flights included those operated by Icelandair from Reykjavik Airport to Ísafjörður, Akureyri, and Egilsstaðir. Additionally, flights from Akureyri to Reykjavik and from Egilsstaðir to Reykjavik have also been canceled, along with both flights between Reykjavik and Ísafjörður scheduled for today.

Asdís Ýr Pétursdóttir, a spokesperson for Icelandair, confirmed that the decision to cancel flights was made in light of the adverse weather conditions. Yellow weather warnings are currently in effect for six regions across the country. The situation continues to develop.
