The local representative highlights that the national budget for this year allocates two million Danish kroner for ongoing road work in the village of Funningsfjørð. For several years, funds have been designated to update and widen the road, but the work has stalled due to financial constraints.

In comments regarding a parliamentary inquiry, Magnus Rasmussen notes that as the year progresses, there has been no visible progress on the project. He questions Dennis Holm, the Minister of Transport, about when work will commence and when it is expected to be completed in relation to the budget allocated for 2024.

The project to widen the road from the highway between Fjarður and Funningsfjørð was initiated by the national road authority, Landsverk, back in 2019.
