Mayor Stavnsager celebrates allocation of 73.8 million krone for Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality

The mayor of Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality, Hans Stavnsager (S), expressed overwhelming joy regarding an imminent allocation of 73.8 million Danish krone from the government to the local budget. This funding is part of the government’s 2.5 billion krone proposal for municipalities as part of the 2025 budget plans.

“This is enormous for us. I had previously stated that we needed about 75 million krone to make everything work. Now, we are receiving almost the entire amount at once. I never imagined this in my wildest dreams,” said the mayor.

Stavnsager noted that with this substantial financial support, the municipality can cancel several planned budget cuts and enhance funding for specialized child services.
