Negotiations paused between Machine Masters Association and Municipal Employers’ Association in Iceland

Negotiations between the Machine Masters Association and the Municipal Employers’ Association regarding the machine masters at SEV and IRF have been paused.

This decision allows the parties involved to assess and calculate various matters related to the discussions.

Terje Sigurðsson, the mediator, provided this information. The parties were engaged in real negotiations with the mediator until late last night, with plans to reconvene at the beginning of next week.

The negotiations previously came to a halt on July 5, prompting the establishment of the Mediator Institution. The agreement in question expired in October 2022.
