Three companies seek approval for renovation of Streymin bridge in Faroe Islands

Three companies have applied for preliminary approval to undertake the major renovation of the bridge over Streymin.

As of the deadline yesterday, J&K Contractors, Articon, and Malltek had submitted their applications for preliminary approval.

A public announcement will be made on September 30 regarding which companies will be granted this approval.

The Streymin bridge is 50 years old and will celebrate its 51st anniversary this September.

It underwent significant renovations in 2013 when it reached its 40th year.
