It took only one day for Denmark to make its mark at the Paralympic Games in Paris. The 20-year-old Alexander Hillhouse won gold in the S14 category for the 100-meter butterfly. With a time of 54.61 seconds, he also set a Paralympic record.

Despite a difficult start in the final heat, where he was in fourth place after 50 meters, Hillhouse launched an impressive final sprint, ultimately securing his very first Paralympic medal.
