Nordic Council awards Children and Young People’s Literature Prize today in Faroe Islands

The Nordic Council’s Children and Young People’s Literature Prize will be awarded today.

The Faroe Islands have nominated the book “Flytifuglar” by Elin á Rógvi for this prestigious award.

The Nordic Council established the prize in 1999, with the first award presented in 2002. The prize consists of 60,000 Danish kroner and has been awarded 11 times since its inception.

Faroese authors have received the prize four times in total.
