Faroe Islands

The case regarding Faroe Islands’ membership in the World Trade Organization (WTO) will now be taken to an arbitration court. This was confirmed during a press conference with the three government leaders of the kingdom held this week.

A special committee, which will make a decision on the matter, is being established under Article 6 of the Home Rule Act. This marks the first time this legal provision has been utilized.

What is this committee, what is the disagreement about, and when can a decision be expected? A conversation will take place with Christian Andreasen, a lawyer.

The broadcast will also discuss the significance of Faroese membership in the WTO. Niels Winther, director of the Chamber of Commerce, will be present in the radio studio.

Tune in at 10 AM for more.
