Delays reported for Finnair flights at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport due to foggy weather

At Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, several Finnair flights have experienced delays due to weather conditions. The weather forecast indicates that there will be areas of fog, which could be dense, in the interior of the country on Thursday morning.

According to Finnair’s communications, some domestic flights are delayed as a result of the foggy weather in Helsinki. Notably, morning flights arriving from Vaasa and Tallinn are among those affected.

Finavia, the operator of Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, has announced that due to the thick fog, low visibility procedures will be implemented. This means that the spacing between aircraft, both in the air and on the ground, will be increased. As a result, some planes may need to circle above the airport before they are able to land.
