Police seek witnesses to collision between car and electric scooter in Greater Reykjavík

The police in the Greater Reykjavík area are seeking witnesses to a collision between a car and an electric scooter that occurred at the intersection of Bústaðavegur and Suðurhlíðar last Saturday.

The rider of the scooter was taken to the emergency room and suffered severe injuries. According to a post on the police’s Facebook page, the incident was reported shortly before 3:30 PM.

The car was traveling westbound on Bústaðavegur when, at the intersection with Suðurhlíð, the driver made a turn north towards the Icelandic Meteorological Office. Simultaneously, the scooter rider attempted to cross the road at that exact location, resulting in the collision and the serious consequences that followed.
